When the School told me about the project I thought it might be good but if I am really, really, honest I was worried that with the older people it might be, well, dull. I know my grandparents but I don’t know any other older people. But when I got to The Women’s Library on the first session and we went in I was so surprised – the women were just like us. They were really lively, funny, energetic!

Being in the project I made friends with girls my age, and women much older than me and I want to keep up those friendships. I also learned a lot about myself. I now want to be a journalist and to be a future MP for Tower Hamlets, like Rushnara Ali who is our MP now.
